How to Change Your WiFi Password on hAP AC3 Router

Changing your WiFi password regularly helps keep your network secure. Here's how to do it on a MikroTik hAP AC3 router:

Access Router Interface

  1. Connect to your router's network (via WiFi or Ethernet)
  2. Open a web browser and go to http://192.168.88.1 (default MikroTik IP)
  3. Log in with your admin credentials

Change WiFi Password

  1. Navigate to Wireless in the left menu
  2. Click on Security Profiles
  3. Select your security profile (usually named "default")
  4. Find the WPA Pre-Shared Key or WPA2 Pre-Shared Key field
  5. Enter your new password (minimum 8 characters recommended)
  6. Click OK to save

Apply Changes

After changing the password:

  • The router will apply the new password immediately
  • All connected devices will be disconnected
  • You'll need to reconnect devices using the new password

Reconnect Devices

  1. On each device, go to WiFi settings
  2. Forget the old network
  3. Reconnect using the new password
