Setup Your TP-Link ADSL Router
Follow these steps to set up your TP-Link ADSL router:
Physical Connection
- Connect the ADSL cable from your phone socket to the ADSL port on the router
- Connect your computer to one of the LAN ports using an Ethernet cable
- Plug in the power adapter and turn on the router
- Wait for the router lights to stabilize
Access Router Interface
- Open a web browser
- Go to http://192.168.1.1 or http://tplinkwifi.net
- Log in with default credentials (usually admin/admin - check your router label)
Quick Setup Wizard
- Follow the Quick Setup wizard when it appears
- Select your country and internet service provider
- Choose connection type (usually PPPoE)
- Enter your broadband username and password (provided by your ISP)
- Configure WiFi settings:
- Set WiFi network name (SSID)
- Set WiFi password (use WPA2 security)
- Save settings and wait for router to restart
Manual Configuration
If the wizard doesn't appear:
- Go to Network → WAN
- Set connection type to PPPoE
- Enter your username and password
- Go to Wireless → Wireless Settings
- Configure your WiFi name and password
- Save all settings
Verify Connection
- Check that the internet light on router is solid
- Try accessing a website
- Connect devices via WiFi using the password you set
