Update Your Netis Router Firmware
Keeping your router firmware up to date ensures you have the latest security patches and features. Follow these steps to update your Netis router firmware:
Before You Begin
- Ensure your router is connected to power and the internet
- Do not disconnect power during the update process
- Note your current router settings (you may need to reconfigure after update)
Steps to Update
- Access your router's web interface (usually http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1)
- Log in with your admin credentials
- Navigate to System Tools or Administration section
- Look for Firmware Upgrade or Update option
- Download the latest firmware from Netis website (check your router model number)
- Upload the firmware file through the router interface
- Wait for the update to complete (do not power off during this time)
- Router will restart automatically
After Update
- Reconfigure your WiFi settings if needed
- Check that all devices can connect
- Verify internet connectivity
